Founders
In the fertile years of the Belgian agricultural sector, the story of Agri-service Hoydonckx began. With a passion for technology and agriculture, Louis Hoydonckx started a modest garage for Volvo tractors in the 1960s. In 1980, he joined forces with Richard Mélotte to establish the company Hoydonckx bvba.
This collaboration laid the foundation for what is now a thriving company offering Valtra tractors and a wide range of other agricultural machinery. In 1988, Ronny Plessers entered the scene and brought his expertise and dedication to the growing company. It was a turning point in Hoydonckx’s history.
In 2000, after a decade of steady growth, Hoydonckx invested in a state-of-the-art company building that still serves as its home base today. Here, the company developed into a leading player in the agricultural sector, with a strong focus on technical competence, customer service and innovation. Our founders have always been at the forefront of the industry, and their vision continues to guide and inspire our company.
